Yoshihiro Akiyami cruised to a demanding lead against Chris Leben in their middleweight fight at UFC 116. He was ahead after winning the first two rounds and had shown himself to be the more skilled, technical fighter. But in the third round Leben was the one with the stamina and determination to finish the fight. A depleted Akiyama eventually tapped to a triangle choke late in the third round. A bitter defeat for Yoshihiro but a return to the octagon is a certainty!
