Mac Danzig UFC 83 "St. Pierre vs. Serra 2" April 19, 2008 at Bell Centre in Montreal Canada Mac Danzig put to rest the theory that the UFC coddles their reality show winners with a win over super tough Mark Bocek. Danzig's first fight since winning The Ultimate Fighter Finale and moving to the lightweight division was not an easy one. Bocek pushed Mac for 14 minutes before tapping out to a Danzig rear naked choke in the final moments. Nate Quarry UFC 83 "St. Pierre vs. Serra 2" April 19, 2008 at Bell Centre in Montreal Canada Nate 'The Rock' Quarry did everything within his power to make his fight against Kalib Starnes entertaining for the fans but it takes two to fight and Starnes wanted nothing to do with Nate's aggressive style. After three rounds of chasing Starnes around the octagon and punishing him with his hands and vicious leg kicks Quarry won an embarrassingly lopsided unanimous decision victory. It was a testament to his aggression and the lack thereof from Starnes when the Canadian crowd cheered wildly for Quarry's victory while vehemently booing the local Starnes. Ed Herman UFC 83 "St. Pierre vs. Serra 2" April 19, 2008 at Bell Centre in Montreal Canada Ed 'Short Fuse' Herman spent the better part of two rounds valiantly defending the jiu jitsu onslaught of Demian Maia before succumbing to a triangle choke at the 2:27 mark. Maia was able to secure takedowns and keep Herman off balance in the first round before Ed was able to gain top position and close the round unloading punches.
